Method Man reveals all to MTV about the legendary rap group’s new album and their unexpected Beatles cover….

After five years out, solo albums, various disputes between members and the tragic loss of Ol’ Dirty Bastard, the Wu-Tang Clan are back with their fifth studio album 8 Diagrams.

So this being MTV we caught up with Method Man to get the inside scoop on one of the biggest rap albums this year.

“Wu-Tang Clan needs another Wu-Tang Clan album,” Meth’ told MTV. “I don’t think our story ends with that last album.”

But hinting at an end to the Shaolin saga the hip hop star said: “This one here will be a nice closer, if that. Who knows?”

Talking about the Wu’s fifth album proper due out this November he said: “The studio is just so, I don’t know, it used to be fun, but it ain’t fun no more. It just feels like work.”

Revealing who has worked on the record, with producer RZA, Method Man exclusively told MTV: “We’ve got George Clinton on there and we got George Harrison’s son (Dhani) playing acoustic guitar on one of our joints.”

The track in question is a cover of The Beatles’ While My Guitar Gently Weeps which also features John Frusciante from Red Hot Chilli Peppers on guitar.

Another song on 8 Diagrams is Life Changes about Ol Dirty Bastard. “We did that about two months after he was buried,” says Meth. “RZA held on to it. It’s just everybody speaking to Dirt, and how they feel about the situation.”

And of course we couldn’t resist asking the Tical MC about future solo work. “The new album will be called, brace yourself kiddies…..Crystal Method,” he revealed to MTV. “So far DJ Scratch, Eric Sherman and RZA will be producing it’s a
